How to plan your
Fort Worth Courthouse Elopement

As someone whose photographed many courthouse elopements in Fort Worth, I’ve compiled an easy-to-understand list of steps to follow while planning your courthouse elopements.

Tarrant County Courthouse Address: 100 E WEATHERFORD STREET, FORT WORTH, TX 76102

Tarrant County Courthouse Phone Number: (817) 884-1111

1. Get your marriage license

Grab your lover and go in person (or online) to get your marriage license.

This license is valid for 90 days so plan your ceremony date accordingly.

Visit the Tarrant County Courthouse’s wedding page to apply for a license.

2. Schedule a courthouse elopement appointment

When getting married at the Tarrant County Courthouse, you’ll need to set an appointment for your marriage ceremony. They only take appointments M-F, 8am-4:30p.

Take a look at your calendar, check in with your photographer, and pick your favorite date!

Call the Tarrant County Courthouse to set your date. (817) 884-1111

Don’t forget, you’ll need to bring $100 (cash only) for your ceremony.

3. Pick a Fort Worth courthouse elopement photographer

This is the moment you two are getting married, and it deserves to be rightly celebrated.

I’m a photographer (I live just 20 minutes from the Tarrant County Courthouse so last-minute ceremonies are super doable for me) and my couples have chosen a courthouse ceremony for many reasons:

They decided the months of planning an expensive wedding wasn’t for them.
They’re planning a huge wedding for the future, but want to be married now.
They are having their wedding celebration out of the country, but making it official here.

Whatever your reason, I’ll be right there ready to capture this special moment for you.
